The Section 80 Rebuild Project was designed to avoid or minimize natural resource impacts to wetlands at the extent practicable, including all equipment access ways. CMP has applied for all required federal, state, and municipal permits and anticipates receiving all approvals in Spring 2023. They are:
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity; Non-Wire Alternatives Review. Approved July 2022.
Maine General Permit through the Pre-Construction Notification review process. Application submitted in December 2022. Approved April 7, 2023.
Natural Resource Protection Act Tier 2 Permit. Application submitted in December 2022. In process. Approval expected in February 2023.
Shoreland Zoning and Floodplain Management permits. Applications submitted in December 2022. Presented to Windsor Planning Board on January 9, 2023. Approved at Windsor Planning Board meeting on February 4, 2023.
Town of Jefferson Shoreland Zone Building Permit application submitted in February 2023. Permit is signed by Town of Jefferson Planning Board on March 7, 2023.
Site Plan Permit. Application submitted in December 2022. Presented to Town of Washington Planning Board on January 10, 2023. Permit process requires a site visit, which was conducted virtually with the town’s code enforcement officer, and a public hearing, which took place on February 14, 2023. Permit was approved by the Town of Washington Planning Board after the public hearing. Signed permit given to CMP at the Town of Washington Planning Board meeting on April 11, 2023.
Shoreland Zoning and Floodplain Management permits. Applications submitted in December 2022. Approved by Waldoboro Code Enforcement Officer in December 2022.
Shoreland Zoning and Flood Hazard Development permits. Applications submitted in December 2022. Approved by Warren Code Enforcement Officer in January 2023. Received February 27, 2023.
